|Where did it come from?
||It was brought to the United States from China to eat weeds in fish farms.
||Grass Carp have dark cross-edged scales and don’t have whiskers.
|Where is it found?
||They are found in the Mississippi River in the United States. So far, none have been found in Ontario.
|What does it do?
||Grass Carp eat aquatic plants that are important for our native fish to live in. If they get into Ontario they will cause great harm to the food web.
|What can you do?
||Don’t dump live fish into Ontario lakes and rivers!
